CHRISTMAS AND 2014 NEW YEAR MESSAGE

Christmas is a time for coming together for families and communities, where previous wrongs are forgiven, old relationships renewed and new ones forged.

This year was a testing year for Muslim-Christian relations in Malaysia. Nevertheless, the non-confrontational stand that was taken by the Christian community over the whole saga had ensured the continuation of peace and harmony in multi-racial Malaysia.

Let us all continue to maintain the tolerance and respect between races and religions as this is the very fabric of our society that needs to be preserved and maintained. We should promote the good values in the various cultures and harness the strengths in the various communities to achieve a more united and harmonious Malaysia.

I wish all Christians in Malaysia a Very Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year 2014 for all Malaysians.
