Residents of Taman Baginda & Taman Delima , Kapayan, Penampang cried foul and voiced their utmost disgust to PKR Sabah Secretary – Dr Roland Chia Ming Shen with regards to the local authorities services in their areas. Some were very disappointed as this will definitely spoil their festive mood. The residents have no other avenues as their complaints have gone into deaf ears ranging from 3 months to 3 years and has decided to bring up their grouses to our attention- according to Dr Roland Chia. Dr Roland Chia who is also the PKR Supreme Council Member was doing his Chinese New Year rounds in the neighborhood . The main complains were- 1. Drains are always clogged up after a short bout of rain. One resident from Taman Delima even lamented that NOW it was even worst that before as the recent developments in the areas has caused frequent flash floods despite of short episodes of rainfall. 2. Infrequent garbage collection services that may take up to 10 days before the garbage to be picked up. This has attracted fouls smell emitting due to decomposition of the garbage. Wild dogs and rodents have started frequenting these areas. 3. Many potholes on the roads that were not sealed which has caused an eyesore to the public. Dr Roland Chia hope that the local authorities concern will take note and to improve on their services. He urged the Federal & State Ministry of Local Government and Housing should step in to increase their annual grant so that the local authorities can invest more on machineries and manpower to improve on their services.  |
